- Extend the scope of the study to other chapters in a PhD thesis such as the Introduction, the Methodology, the Findings, Discussion, or the Conclusion chapter might help to deepen understanding of the genre analysis of a PhD thesis.

- Compare the genre of PhD literature reviews written in the Vietnamese language to identify if there are any differences in terms of genre between the English corpus and the Vietnamese corpus.

- Analyse the genres of different academic levels written by Vietnamese such as research articles, dissertations, lectures…

- Apply the genre knowledge in teaching English skills such as writing, reading…
