11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- The thesis enriches the theoretical and practical contributions to the research on communication on a specific issue, here is the communication about child abuse in the Vietnamese newspapers. The thesis confirms the necessity of communication research in an interdisciplinary direction, on a specialized object, based on human rights - a direction not many Vietnamese authors have pursued.

- The thesis has systematized, analyzed, and explained theoretical issues related to specialized communication about children as the basis for implementing the research topic.

- The thesis synthesizes documentary sources to summarize the issue of child abuse in Vietnam today from an interdisciplinary approach (law, society and culture).

- The thesis has surveyed and analyzed the current state of communication on the issue of child abuse in the Vietnamese newspapers, evaluated successes, and limitations, and pointed out the causes of successes and limitations in the communication about child abuse.

- The thesis has proposed solutions and recommendations to improve the quality of communication on the issue of child abuse in the newspapers.

12. Practical applicability:

Child abuse is currently a painful problem in society. Therefore, the results of the thesis will contribute to solving urgent practical problems arising in social life in our country. The thesis is a useful document for managers, press agencies, reporters, journalists, communications specialists, individuals and organizations working in the field of child protection. The conclusions drawn from the thesis research will be useful for the practical activities of individuals and organizations participating in the communication process of preventing and combating violence against children, helping to overcome difficulties and limitations in communication. Besides, the thesis is also an useful reference for training institutions, scholars, lecturers, researchers and students studying the fields of Journalism, Communication, Sociology, etc. At the same time, it opens up new research directions to continue developing and improving the quality of journalism in general and specialized journalism related to children in particular.

In the future, the PhD candidate will continue to develop the topic with in-depth research on each step and each stage in the communication cycle of child abuse prevention; research on the media and child abuse in the digital age; research on ethical communication and how journalists handle sensitive situations when reporting on child abuse; research on the impact of child abuse news on public awareness, attitudes and behavior…
